Shop at a Thrift Store

Maybe you are like me and you're not a big "shopper". Well, even if you aren't you might want to try thrift shopping. I just moved to a new place, and a friend of mine suggested I thrift shop to find cool stuff for it. I didn't think I would like it at all, but I found that love it! The smart girl in me loves finding the things I want at amazing prices, and the hippie in me loves knowing I am helping the environment by re-using things that might other wise be thrown into landfills. Another perk to thrift shopping is that I never know what treasure I will happen upon. I can hunt for treasures like furniture, appliances, clothing, jewelery, antiques, and more! Plus there are so many places I can thrift shop: at home online, at yard sales, second hand stores, and swap meets. Recently I learned that some people even make a business out of finding expensive treasures at thrift stores buying them cheap and then re-selling them for profit!

Over-all the most important thing I got out of thrift shopping was learning that I enjoyed something that I never thought I would like. After you complete your drug or alcohol abuse rehab program, it is important to stay open to new experiences and ideas as you search for Drug Free Fun activities. Staying open to new things will allow you to discover new treasures hidden within yourself.
